Safe Sounds Festival

"Safe Sounds" is a music festival organised by non-for-profit "What Were You Wearing," aiming to stop sexual violence in the nightlife and music industry. The first event first took place in 2023 at The Cambridge, featuring over 50 bands on 3 stages. It provides education for musicians and promotes a safer festival environment to boost the live music scene in Newcastle.

The WWYW team’s branding guided the creative decisions for this project, using an orange colour scheme with contrasting and bold black outlines. Despite the serious aim of the event, it was crucial to convey an energetic and fun atmosphere. I leveraged my illustration skills to create a few iconic characters to introduce and represent the event. By repeating patterns and sketches, I added personality and stylish flair to the poster.

Deliverables: Print, and promotion.
