Doughheads Newcastle is a beloved doughnut shop renowned for its artisanal, handcrafted doughnuts made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. With an ever-changing menu of inventive flavours, it has become a go-to spot for doughnut lovers in the region. Having recently celebrated their 10th birthday, the store decided to collaborate with a bunch of local business such as Rascal, and many more including myself.

The collaborative project I worked on was centred around a colouring competition. Being a fully illustrated piece, I branched out into character design and brought the brands iconic doughnuts and gelato to life in a birthday party setting. The bold linework was a lot of fun to make, which I later coloured in by hand and used for social media tiles, and proposed merchandise. Although the merchandise was not printed, Anna (Owner of Doughheads) was still chuffed, and expressed her love to work on some merch in the future.
