Better Beer is an Aussie brew company founded by Matt Ford and Jack Steele. Starting as online personalities, the mates collaborated on the venture to create a beer that is better for you than the average pint. I’ve been a fan of Matt and Jack’s work through The Inspired Unemployed for a while now, and love the whole Better Beer brand. It’d be a dream to work with them, and so I thought I’d shoot my shot and have a crack at designing some merch.

My idea was based on the unofficial holiday of ‘Mates Day’ which falls on May 8th. This day would be perfect to celebrate with Better Beer, being such a community based brand. Have a Better Beer with your mates this mates day, it’s the Day for it.

I based my creative choices for this campaign on my drawing style and the creation of the Beer Can characters. Through the lens of a compassionate aussie and the need for spreading awareness of mental health.
